Four Fabulous Four Year Olds

 Jeremy, Calista, Cailee, Mykelle

These four fabulous four year olds are all turning four in April and May.  The moms got together to plan a birthday party for all four on a Saturday morning at the park, rather than throw four separate birthday parties.  We had a few things to go along with the theme, Pirates and Princesses, like the party opening game- saving the kingdom from the "poison apples."

Children finding the 3 hidden green "poison" apples won a small prize while the other 11 hidden red apples were found and eaten.  Even though the game was short the kids got really excited and had a lot of fun finding the apples on the playground.

The craft was a foam door-hanger decorated with princess or pirate stickers.  Mykelle colored her purple door-hanger her favorite color, pink, and succeeded in getting marker all over her hands, jacket, and Adam's jacket.

The birthday cupcakes were a flower bouquet and pirate cupcakes.  Both were super cute and looked like the moms spent a lot of time on them!  I got a kick out of Danae putting broccoli between the flowers to act as the green foliage of the bouquet.

Jerry and the wagon were two major hits at the party.

We had a simple lunch of hot dogs, fruit, vegetables, and chips with a drink before breaking a pinata.  It was kind of difficult to find a pinata that fit with the Pirates and Princesses theme, so we went with neutral: a burro!

Candy Craze!
Poor Evan- he thought someone took HIS candy, though they just grabbed it quicker than he could
The pinata had "Pirate Booty" and Princess toys in it as well as lots of candy.  Each child was able to go home with plenty of treats, though there was some trading going on afterward... Probably the boys trying to trade their Princess lipglosses for eye patches!
